LOS ANGELES, May 27— Oscar nominees Cate Blanchett and Saoirse Ronan, along with Oprah Winfrey, have been confirmed as part of the first group of presenters for the 2016 Tony Awards.
They will also be joined by Tony Nominees Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, Carole King, Audra McDonald, Patina Miller and Nathan Lanen with additional presenters to be announced shortly (via WWD).
The event, which will take place at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on June 12, will be broadcast live on CBS, with past Tony Award winner James Corden confirmed to host.
Among the nominees this year are musicals Bright Star,Hamilton, School of Rock, Shuffle Along, and Waitress, with the latter setting a record with 16 Tony Award nominations. — AFP/Relaxnews
