‘The Amazing Race Asia’ season five calls for submissions

SINGAPORE, May 24 — After a hiatus of almost six years, The Amazing Race Asia is back.

The popular reality show on AXN is looking for 10 fearless, social media-savvy teams of two from all over Asia to compete in a dash around the world for a chance to win US$100,000 (RM412,215) in cash.

The premise of the show revolves around travelling to multiple countries in the shortest amount of time, where each team must compete in a series of physical, mental — and often emotional — challenges. Only when the tasks are completed will the teams learn of their next exotic location.

Teams who fall the farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses.

The first team to arrive at the final destination will be crowned overall champs of The Amazing Race Asia and walk away with the USD$100,000 prize.

According to the official website, filming will take place between August and October this year, with the broadcast date yet to be confirmed at time of writing.
