MILAN, Jan 6 — Dolce & Gabbana have launched a collection of traditional garments for their Muslim fans.
According to Fashionista.com, the Italian fashion house debuted the collection exclusively on Style.com/Arabia on Sunday.
It consists of hijabs and abayas in neutral colours made from sheer and lightweight fabrics, such as georgette and satin weave charmeuse.
A few pieces mirror the Italian fashion label’s spring 2016 collection with lace trim or prints in the form of lemons, daisies and polka dots.
Visit Style.com/Arabia for an exclusive look at the debut range.
Dolce & Gabbana are the latest designers looking to tap into a market for Muslim clothing and footwear that is predicted to reach US$484 billion (RM2.1 trillion) by 2019, according to a 2014-2015 report by Thomson Reuters. – MMO
