S’porean former celebrity chef charged with sex crime

A 38-year-old former Singaporean celebrity chef was charged at the Johor Sessions Court for committing “carnal intercourse against the order of nature” and “criminal intimidation”.

Muhammad Mustaqim Juri, who now works as a beauty consultant and part time chef, pleaded not guilty to a charge of committing “carnal intercourse against the order of nature” on a 22-year-old youth in a car park in Tampoi, here at about 2pm on Dec 10 this year.

The act is an offence under Section 377C of the Penal Code which carries jail sentence of between five years and 20 years and caning.

He also pleaded not guilty to the second charge of criminal intimidation towards the youth’s relative in Taman Cempaka, Tampoi at about 2.30pm at Dec 10.

The offence is under Section 506 of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of two years, or fine, or both upon conviction.

The charges were read in front of Sessions Court Judge Meor Sulaiman Ahmad Tarmizi, who later set bail for Muhammad Mustaqim at RM 40,000 with one surety.

Muhammad Mustaqim was ordered by the court to surrender his passport.

Meor Sulaiman fixed Jan 17, 2016 for the case mention.
