When you still need to drink the dark abyss of your sorrows away but Happy Hour deals aren’t cheap enough for you to drink your fill?
I almost always regret my decision after witnessing the stark irreversible damage to my wallet after a night of drinking. So much so that I spend my next sober day grieving over the emptiness of my wallet/bank account. So as a sad intern, I’ve decided to scout for some free-flow alcohol deals in Singapore for us (not including weekend champagne brunches).
Here’s one fellow booze-lover doing a favour for the others.
1. The Mad Poet
Lover of cheese and wine but don’t want to spend a fortune? Fortunately for you, The Mad Poet has got it’s very own Free Flow Wine and Cheese Night every Thursday from 6 – 8pm. You can indulge your asses in an array of imported cheese from France and England procured from The Cheese Shop and selections of fine wine including Merlot Cabernet. Now doesn’t that sound delightful?
The Mad Poet: China Court, 20 Cross St. #01-23/24, Singapore, 048422 | Tel: 6557 0312 | Website
2. T Bar
For the westsiders, I’ve got you covered. T bar is offering a Liquid Buffet from 5 – 11pm Monday to Saturday. Yes, I repeat, 5-11pm. That is 6 hours of free flow alcohol – Gin, Vodka, Rum, Whisky, Beer and including mixers. Furthermore, a little bird (facebook) told me that every Wednesday is T Bar’s Ladies Night and females get free alcohol.
If you’re up for a challenge, you can participate in their ‘So You Think You Can Drink’ challenge where you compete to down a pint of beer in the fastest time possible and stand a chance to win cash prices.
T Bar is also having a discount on their Liquid Buffet prices this Christmas period, $25++ for Men and $18++ for Ladies only for the month of December 2015. Regular liquid buffet discounts happen pretty frequently as well.
Damage: guys $32++ | Ladies $25++

3. Wine BOS
Wine BOS is a wine supplier, wholesaler and consult at Stanford Court. They have an impressive selection of wine from Australia, France, New Zealand, Chile, California, South Africa and Germany. Free flow wine occurs everyday from 6 – 8pm for only $20+ but of course not all of their wines are available for free flow (the cheaper ones definitely). Ladies get to drink for free from 7pm-9pm every Wednesday as well.
They also have really cheap deals for meals – on Saturdays and Sundays, their steaks go at $9 while their self-proclaimed “BEST pork knuckle in town” is only $12 on Mondays. For such affordable prices, I’d be more open-minded to the quality of the food. Cheers to idiosyncratic thrifty indulgence amiright?

Located at a pretty ulu area, Idle probably isn’t very known. But if you happen to be nearby, or are looking for ridiculously cheap reasons to drink, Idle offers Liquid Buffets from Monday to Saturday, 5pm to 11pm. This already beats many happy hour deals out there. So if you work at Jurong International Business Park, congratulations to you! Cheap booze 5 days a week just a stone’s throw away.

6. The Fickle Mussel
In collaboration with Idle, The Fickle Mussel offers the same Liquid Buffet deal Monday to Saturday, 5 – 11pm. And as the name obviously suggests, they specialise in mussels and serve seafood dishes along with booze. They also offer a few French dishes like Escargots and Foie Gras. So if you feel like drinking and having some underwater meat (like Marinara Mussels, Prawn Laksa Pasta or the occasional special Seafood Paella) without burning a hole in your pocket, don’t be fickle about where to go. Do note that the food here still has plenty of room for improvement.

Strictly for the ladies, J Bar at M Hotel offers free flow of Martini and selected Champagnes and Wines every Saturday from 8pm – 2am, for $28++ per lady. J Bar is a contemporary bar with a sleek theme but don’t worry you don’t have to be rich and stylish hotel guest to visit this haunt. Any non-hotel guest female can just park yourself there for 6 hours of free flow alcohol, tasty tapas and to soak up the great atmosphere. At least that’s what I’ll be there for.

Also looks great for a romantic date (y’know, if you wanna hit up that sexy colleague of yours). Might be a bit pricey but for the reputation, laid-back ambiance and unique cocktails, I’d say it’s worth a try.

9. Oasis Restaurant @ Grand Hyatt
BBQ Dinner at a poolside restaurant with an open bar while watching chefs prepare your meal at the grill? Sounds nice. Plus free flow of selected Beers, Wines, Margaritas and soft drinks daily? Sounds veeeeeery nice. Oasis’ All-You-Can-Eat BBQ buffet gives you exactly that. There will be a selection of fresh seafood, quality meat and delectable desserts. It costs $98.00++ per adult inclusive of free flow alcohol from Sunday to Wednesday.
Though it is definitely pricey and not a trauma you would exactly like to put your wallet through, take a look and the menu and decide if you’d like to Treat Yo Self (holla Parks & Rec fans).
