Travel Notice for Chennai, India [Updated: 2 December 2015]
Chennai has been hit by heavy rains over the past few weeks resulting in severe flooding in most areas of the city. All flight operations at Chennai Airport are currently suspended due to the closure of the airport, while train and bus services have been disrupted. Singaporeans are therefore advised to postpone all non-essential travel to Chennai.
Singaporeans already in Chennai are advised to stay indoors and take necessary precautions to ensure personal safety at all times. They should monitor the media for updates and follow the instructions of the local authorities.
