Malaysian nabbed at Woodlands Checkpoint with 1.38kg of heroin

SINGAPORE, March 13 — The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) has detained a Malaysian man in connection with the seizure of 1.38kg of heroin found under his motorcycle seat at the Woodlands Checkpoint last Saturday.

Earlier, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers found four black bundles of the drug in the machine and alerted the CNB.

The 30-year-old suspect was picked up at 5.05pm, said the ICA and CNB in a joint statement today.

The estimated street value of the seized heroin is more than S$96,000 (RM302,680). — Bernama.
