Man gets eight years’ jail for possession of pistols, live bullets

ALOR SETAR: A man was sentenced to eight years’ jail by the Sessions Court here after pleading guilty to possessing two pistols and 72 live bullets at Bukit Kayu Hitam here last year.

The accused, T. Dinesh, 30, pleaded guilty to the charges after they were read to him by the court interpreter in front of judge Najwa Che Mat.

He was charged with committing the offences at the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex in Bukit Kayu Hitam at 2.50pm on July 17, 2015.

State Deputy Public Prosecutor Rehab Abdul Shukur prosecuted.
